People read too much into things...
A trapped wolf will chew off his own leg before he let’s himself die.
A trapped man will cut off his own arm before he let’s himself die.
A wolf lives on as a wolf with one less leg, maybe being more wary of his footing.
A man lives on with a new sense of self, a new perspective on life, new motivations and a new purpose.
What drives this difference in behavior? Something to do...

Inspiration never came so easily
This weekend I wasn’t able to get any homework done due to a death in my family. My memere, who had been hanging for longer than anyone could imagine, let herself go and it was an emotional experience for us all.
The homework assignments that did remain in my mind were those 5 Golden Assignments. I went out of my comfort zone so that I could give my family what they needed at the time. I...

"Wherever you are, be there"
I attended a supervisor training workshop the other day at work and our General Manager said something that didn’t really resonate until I visited the theme park as a “typical guest” the yesterday.
“Wherever you are, be there”
Sounds simple enough, but I didn’t realize how difficult this concept really was for some people until I paid closer attention to my...

Just send them a ticket...
I think now that summer is almost officially here and tomorrow is the first day of a fully operational season at Darien Lake Resort, where I am currently the public relations intern full-time, I am going to use this blog as an outlet for sharing my life and work experiences.
I have not been blogging as much as I would like and when I do, it’s generally been just pictures or little quips...

How can you spot a Republican?
The following joke is by a commenter over at Crooks and Liars.
A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, “Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am.”
The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, “You’re in a...

Wow. You’ve seen super slow-mo footage of this YouTube video and that’s what why you believe it? Perhaps a simple lesson in physics would help a little more. No matter how quickly you move your feet, you will sink immediately. Greater surface area is what you need—ya know, like snow shoes? He actually believes running at the water at an angle versus straight in will help? Another...

Close that book! Facebook that is—Three weeks...
Three weeks ago I made the decision to deactivate my facebook, the fact alone that this is an event worth mentioning in my life is sad enough but it’s the world we live in now, and after the 7-step process to finally be done with it, my new life began.
The three years I spent on facebook seem to be a major part of my life, with college starting and coming to an end, meeting new people and...
